Rwanda

Th Rwanda genocide happened in 1994, it was a short genocide but killed around 800,000 people and at the time no one did anything to stop it. Now, more then a decade later the press is charger Felicien Kabuga. According to CNN news Kabunga is being charged with 11 counts, including genocide and crimes against humanity. In my opinion it is way to late to point fingers at people that took part in the genocide. Because people change and  14 years is along time. The genocide was horrible but if you going to charge people you might as well charge half of the country.d

"Night"

-->
           Night
         The fact that the holocaust is real and did happen horrible but when you actually read it from someone that was there and went thought it is something completely different. From the ugly scenes he, Elie Wiesel, had to watch first hand. To be honest I thought I knew everything that I needed to know before we started this unit but I was wrong. After taking the Pre-test I realized that I didn’t know enough about it. I knew that many people died in the factories and were burned, everyone: men women and children. But I couldn’t answer questions like what year did this all happen in? Or how did the Jews react to it? Did they not mind working in harsh factories? Did they just think that it was all just something that they did to everyone and that they would be home before sun set? But after reading the first couple of chapters of Night I was able to answer those questions. The book Night is what I call raw material. Its all based on real events and real emotions. If your not mentally ill you would thing that the whole idea of trying to eliminate a whole race from the face of the planet is just horrifying. If people thought that way now we would be more like wild animals than human. I don’t understand how the whole world saw what was happening and did absolutely nothing to stop it.
